Convenor, MINDBEND 2025
Gujarat's largest techno-managerial fest, owned end to end.
MINDBEND is SVNIT's techno-managerial fest and the largest of its kind in Gujarat: three days, fifteen hundred students on the floor, a thousand more running it. In my final year I was one of the ten people, five convenors and five joint secretaries, who owned the whole thing.
Owning it meant the budget, the sponsors, the vendors, the venues, the speakers and the thousand students working as executives, co-heads, heads and managers under us. I decided where every rupee of the ₹34 lakh went.
What owning it meant
The budget
₹34 lakh allocated across events, venues, speakers, production and hospitality, and defended line by line.
The sponsors
₹13.2 lakh raised, six times the year before, with the title sponsor and the partner list to go with it.
The team
A thousand students in a structure that could run three days without the convenors in every room.
The speakers
Ashneer Grover, Striver and Vikas Divyakirti on the same stage in the same week.
The three days
Vendors, venues, schedules and the hundred things that only a convenor hears about.
What came of it
- Fifteen hundred students on the floor over three days.
- A thousand students ran those days without the ten of us in every room, which is the part I am proudest of.
